What would you do if you won a 42 inch Vizio LCD TV? For me, that would be awesome, considering our plasma TV has been acting up lately. If, by some miraculous force, our current television takes us through the future, my son would very much enjoy this TV if we were to win it.

My son is 14 and has the smallest room ever (or it seems that way). Our younger two children get the bigger room because they share. Currently, he has a bulky, clunker TV in his room and he just earned himself an XBOX 360... and on his TV, the graphics are not quality at all! The 360 is the best thing he's probably ever received (in his mind) and I could only imagine how he would feel about a space saving, awesome TV too!

It would be fabulous to win this and I'm sure many of you feel that way too - so mosey on over to their website and enter yourself! Good Luck!

So here I am... relaxing after a long day in Chico. Yes, you heard right, I got out of the house. Surprising, huh? Bobby wanted to go shopping for a couple of things. The weather wasn't too bad. So we piled up little B and baby D and off we went. Our first stop was the Chico Mall. Bobby got some pants from Anchor Blue. Next we went to Wendy's to eat - little B's choice. Then off to Game Stop we went... we spent too much money there. Then we stopped by Toys R Us to grab little B a prize and to check on a monitor for baby D. They didn't have a monitor we wanted. Last, we ran into Wal-Mart for a couple of necessities. Guess what I got all day? Tampons and face moisturizer.

It's mostly my fault. I really couldn't find any clothing that I wanted. The pants I tried on were too tight, some shirts I found were too thin, and the shoes I kind of wanted were too expensive. This trip (and the fact that my current selection of clothing is very limited) made me get into an "I NEED to lose weight" mode. It's time. I have had the baby and my post-partem days are over. Let's do this! Bobby starts his first day of the new semester tomorrow. It is going to be weird being here without his help all day. I don't have to freak out just yet. His sister is going to come over tomorrow to help me out. He has to leave at nine in the morning and I just don't know if I will be able to get up that early and take a shower... I'm not quite the morning person. Eventually, we'll get the hang of it. Hopefully within a week or two. I'm sure there is more that I have to say because I actually did something today. But now that I did do something, I'm tired. So tired I think I need to get some rest. Well I will probably have Bobby go to sleep since he has school tomorrow and I will stay up with our little baby. Goodnight...Back to Life,Lovely Rita

Lifetime premiered a movie today - The Pregnancy Pact. What a movie. These girls are absolutely crazy! Trust me, I know it happens. It happened to me. I gave birth to my son only two weeks after my 15th birthday. I never thought it would happen to me - it did. Let's just say I grew up real fast and it helped mold me into the person I am today.

Back to "The Pregnancy Pact." What were these girls thinking? All over one girl wanting to be like Jamie Lynn Spears. It was very difficult being a teenage mother. Why anyone would deliberately do this to themselves is beyond me. It has shown these girls at parties drinking alcohol and at HOME smoking - in the presence of her guardian! The movie was alright... not everything I thought it would be.

So my 14 year old son has three friends over tonight. I'm not sure that he has ever had that many stay the night at once. Surprisingly, they are being somewhat quiet. TheirGuitar Hero can get a little loud here and there but nothing that is really bothering us. We'll see how it goes after we lay down to sleep. Awake children always seem louder at that point.

Baby Dominic has been extra fussy today for some reason. At first, it seemed as if he was fighting his sleep (and most of the time I think he very well might have been) but other times, it seemed as if something were wrong. We have taken him to the doctor a few times and he has been switched formulas a couple of times. He is currently on Similac Alimentum. I'm thinking I will call his doctor Monday morning if he continues to act this way tonight and tomorrow.

Sleep is calling my name. Nighty Night...

How can a baby so small create so much laundry? Seriously, this kid accumulates more laundry than anyone else in the house. Today was a busy day for putting those dirty clothes in the hamper. I think we got a bad batch of diapers. He leaked through twice early this morning. So that was two pajamas. Next, he somehow ended up with wetness near his armpit - I'm guessing it was some "secret spit-up." Then, shortly after, I was changing his diaper and he decided to pee everywhere. He hasn't done that to me in a while. If I remember correctly some time he also spit up and had to be changed. He wore like five different things before noon. He's so darn cute, I just don't care. So I suppose I'm not complaining... just sharing.

During his "I wanna dirty all the clothes" moments, he decided to spit up on my jeans. So I figured I'd do a load of our laundry. Ugh! Living in apartments is the pits when it comes to laundry. Someone in the laundry room had all four washers and all four dryers. There should be some kind of limit that way when someone comes along with one load they don't get into a predicament. On top of that, there should be more than four washers and four dryers for over 50 apartments... don't you think?

Briana, Briana, Briana... we dabbled in a little Girl Scout cookie selling. I wish I could tell you she came out of her shell and sold her little heart out but that is not the case. We started after school with her teacher and then visited another teacher she knows. She managed to sputter out some words here and there with them. We then walked into the school office - walked in, that's all. She said, "I'm scared" and we walked right back out.

We dropped by a friend of mine's business. Luckily, she got everyone in the office to order some cookies. The whole time they were ordering Briana was worried about getting out of there to see her friend outside that we saw when we were coming in. By the time we made it out, she was gone and Briana was disappointed. We headed over to my mechanic's and sold some too. So I'm okay with her selling to people we know... not too sure about strangers. I think I'd end up being the one to sell the cookies and not her.

That about sums up my day. How was your day?

By the way, is it lame that if I move over to Blogspot, I am considering copy & pasting all of my blogs thus far? I just can't let them go. After all, it is my New Year resolution... something I want to look back on at the end of the year.

Like you all must know, I'm new to this blogging business. You also must know that I have high expectations for myself as far as expanding this blog in 2010. Upon joining The Blog Frog, I have came across many of amazing blogs that mine doesn't even compare to. I love everything about them - from the content to the design of the site.

Looking at these fabulous blogs creates questions that I have yet found the answers to. How can I create an amazing looking page? I have seen many that look like they have came out of a breathtaking scrapbook, fully equipped with a navigation bar and sidebars on both the left and right side. Not to mention, their beautiful signatures at the end of every entry... I want this.

I'm beginning to wish I would have started a blog at Blogger - is it too late to switch over? Can I take my blogs with me? Is there software out there that can assist me in creating a unique looking site? I just want this to reflect who I am. While you're reading, how can I attain more readers? Now that you've made it this far, join my community at The Blog Frog. :)

If you have the answers to any of my questions, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks again for reading.

Outside? What is that? I didn’t make it out there one time today. Not too bad. Briana and I were supposed to go sell some cookies today – ugh, the weather has just got us in a funk (well me at least). The weather says it is supposed to rain tomorrow and then it is said to be sunny this weekend. J This weekend it’s on – cooking selling here we come!

I’m sitting here watching The Doctors (yes, I love DVR) and they are talking about the health problems that eating too much fatty foods can cause. They sure do make it sound easy to keep me and my family healthy. I really need to get it together in that area. Oh my goodness! They were just talking about contact lens problems and that is exactly why I have been stuck in my glasses for a year now! My optometrist seems to over medicate and doesn’t ever do anything for the long run of the problem. I’m supposedly “legally blind” but they’ve told me because of that I’m not a candidate for Lasik eye surgery. Maybe I just need help from The Doctors…

Bobby has offered to sleep in the living room with baby Dominic that way I can have the bed all to myself and get a good night’s sleep. As great as a good night sleep sounds, I don’t want to be without him all night. Is that bad? I would rather have my sleep interrupted than sleep alone all night. I love the idea that the man of my dreams is right next to me all throughout the night. Call me crazy.

Anyway, nighty night.

Briana has to sell 1,909 more boxes of Girl Scout cookies to reach her goal... :)

The cold has officially made it to my bones. Yes, my bones. I am absolutely freezing. My toes might start falling off one by one soon. Really though, I think we have had enough rainy days that we now deserve some sunshine. There was so much I had to do today and 90% of it consisted of me going outside. Have you ever had to go back and forth from a laundry mat in the wind and rain? Not fun.

Last night was the first night that I dedicated myself to transitioning baby Dominic from sleeping in our arms or in the co-sleeper in our bed to sleeping “on his own.” I didn’t prepare for it ahead of time; therefore, I rigged something up in the living room so I didn’t interrupt Bobby’s sleep. He did a good job. I didn’t get much sleep but I suppose that is expected.

That's our bed little man...
My future sister-in-law, Stephanie, and I took little Miss Briana to the doctor today. She had been complaining of her eyes, nose, and throat. When I hear throat I am on it. Strep throat spreads in this house faster than mayonnaise. Apparently, it sounds as if she just has some allergies with post nasal drip. It seems that she had a really good time while we were there. She even sold some cookies to the doctor. J

Somebody seemed happy to be at the doctor's office
So Bobby ran some errands today. It was only me and Dominic so we (okay, maybe I) decided to play “modeling.” I guess that is what you would call it. I was going through his drawers, cleaning out stuff that doesn’t fit him anymore (yes, he is THAT big to already be growing out of things). I came across a couple of things that were in their last moments of time of fitting on his body. So we started changing clothes and taking pictures. We got three items in and he was over it. We still have more to go and even a shoot titled “The Many Hats of Baby Dominic.” Stay tuned…

Well, here we go again… more “sleep training” for the little guy. I prepared for tonight. The bassinet is now comfortably on my side of the bed. I wonder if it will be another sleepless night for me? The things we do as parents. J I love our children.

Briana has to sell 1,913 more boxes of Girl Scout cookies to reach her goal... :)

NOTE: This is my blog entry from 01/19/2010. My New Year resolution of blogging daily is important to me. I wrote it and went to post it; however, the web hosting site was down. It disappointed me and now I am thinking about switching over to another site. I was thinking about Blogger - any feedback on that?

Rain, rain, go away – Briana wants to sell cookies today! The cookies sales are not going very well these last couple of days. The weather has been so horrible – too horrible to attempt a cookie selling adventure. Briana will only be able to take orders until January 29th… I sure hope some big orders come through soon. My friend, Kristy, did visit today and ordered some cookies. Good thing an order came to her – she didn’t even have to go looking for it.

Lately, I have been eating more fruit. That is a good thing I suppose. I actually craved a banana today. Unfortunately, Bobby had eaten the last one this morning. There was no way I was going to venture out into this weather just for a banana. Tonight I settled for an orange. I shouldn’t say settled. Oranges have been extremely satisfying to me. Does anyone know of any yummy and healthy things I can do with fruit?

Bobby took a trip this morning to the college campus to purchase his books for this semester and talk to a couple of programs he wants to be a part of. He stopped into Angie’s, a local poker room, to play his $32 in chips his mom bought him for Christmas. J He entered into a tournament starting at 11:00 am… he texted me at 11:15 saying he was done and on his way to the campus. L Not his day for poker I suppose.

As much as I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, Bobby, I think it will be really good for us when he returns to school this semester. Even though, he won’t be gone all day, every day, there will be days that we will be apart. Although, I will miss him, baby Dominic and I will get to spend quality time together. Not to mention, maybe I can squeeze some “me time” in there if Baby D takes a nap. We will see about that.

Well, I am going to tinker around a bit on BlogFrog before I hit the bed. Blogging success is in my future… I’m going to figure this out J

Briana has to sell 1,924 more boxes of Girl Scout cookies to reach her goal... :)

Sometimes you must think, if she has nothing to blog about, why blog? If you read back from the beginning, you will know that it is a New Year resolution of mine to blog every day. After this year, I should have it down to where I blog like a professional. J Until then, there will be days you’ll just have to read nonsense – well I guess it depends on how you look at it.

The weather was cold, rainy, and windy today. That put a damper on my plans. I had planned on taking Briana to a few places to sell Girl Scout cookies. That didn’t happen. She spent quality time with my mom today and I stayed indoors. Tomorrow after school we must attempt some sales if we are going to make her goal.

Our little baby Dominic turned ten weeks on Saturday. He is getting more fun as every day goes by. He loves when the “monster gets his feet,” patty cake, and peek-a-boo. I kid you not this baby is going to have the patty cake thing down in no time. He even grabbed his Winnie-the-Pooh rattle all on his own today. When he is in the mood, he just smiles, coos, and sometimes even laughs! Babies are so much fun!

A new television series started tonight of Fox Human Target. I was approached with an offer that if I watch the first six episodes and take a short survey after each, I will be sent a $5 gift card for Amazon. I know $5 isn’t much. I look at it this way: we watch TV and we have wanted to find a new show. So why not get some money for watching one?

That brings me to the website that made me this offer – Vocalpoint. Mostly, I am skeptical about websites that offer you free products and such; however, I have been highly satisfied with this website. Periodically, they will send me a sample of a product along with coupons. Sometimes these coupons are for free products or a few dollars off of something. I have received free samples of razors, cereal, cereal bars, dryer sheets, shampoo, etc. I would definitely recommend this site to everyone if you like free stuff. Click on the picture below to be directed to their website.

I’m going to watch another new show before I go to bed, Life Unexpected. The previews have made it look really good. I DVR’d it. Today had for sure been a rainy, TV watching day. We also watched the new episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Have a good night…
