Well here it is the last minutes of 2009… and I just got done washing the dishes. How exciting is that? As a mommy, I wouldn’t have it any other way. We are just hanging out waiting for Dick Clark to come on. We have all still made it this far tonight – even baby Dominic!

This year has been good. Life has given us some unexpected and surprising things in 2009. On Christmas Day of 2008 my fiancé, Bobby, proposed (of course I said yes!) We set the date for July 18, 2009; however, got some exciting news on March 7th – only a week after sending out save-the-dates. We found out we were going to have a baby! We postponed the wedding until sometime in 2010. A baby is a wonderful reason to maneuver things around.

After a long and exhausting nine months, we welcomed our son, Dominic Joseph, on November 7, 2009. He came at 9:44 pm. He weighed eight pounds, eight ounces and was 20½ inches long.  The excitement of being a new mom never gets old.

Welcome Dominic!
I will get into my New Year resolutions tomorrow; however, one of them is to be more involved with people in general and doing that online is my first step. I have been practicing today – playing around with my website and being active on my Twitter

Speaking of Twitter, it gave me quite the excitement tonight. I went searching for people I admire to follow. Among some of those I added were
Dr. Lisa Mastersonand Dr. Jim Sears from “The Doctors,” Oprah, and of course Dr. Phil and his wife, Robin McGraw. I was browsing Robin’s Twitter page and I noticed it was her birthday recently and she turned 56! I was shocked. She barely looks a day over 40! I love speaking how I feel; therefore, I felt compelled to tell her how I felt. I did just that. About an hour later I was absolutely thrilled that she Twittered me back! That was definitely the highlight of my night.

Make sure to go to my home page and follow me on Twitter.

Dick Clark is now on. That must mean it is almost time. I should go now and spend these last few moments with the ones I love. Happy New Years!!

Back to Life,
Lovely Rita

Well here it is, the last day of 2009. My idea was that I would start a blog for 2010. Somewhere I could just write about my daily life and what not. My hopes are that I will come across a lot of things that will make my family's life easier this year. I want to share them with you right here on my blog as well as keep people updated on what's happening with me.

Being that I wasn't scheduled to start this blog until tomorrow (the first of the new year) I think I will leave it at this for now. Maybe I will take this last day to reflect on 2009 and come up with something interesting to start off my blogging journey tomorrow.

Keep in mind that I have never blogged before but I will get good. You just wait and see.

Happy New Year!

Lovely Rita
