A few days ago, I entered my three month old's picture into a photo contest on Solei Moon Frye's blog. He was two weeks old in the picture and sleeping in a teacup. When I submitted it you could really see it - it was big. Guess what? My picture made it into the finalists! Now I'm wishing I would've submitted the closer up picture of him in the teacup... oh well.

Will you please go vote for his picture? All you need to do is visit the following website and leave a comment saying that you would like to vote for Rita O'Neal's picture... it's that easy! I would really appreciate it.

Ahhh... here I am again. I'm back :) We've been so busy! We got down to the last days of being able to take Girl Scout cookie orders and I've been trying to help my daughter reach her goal. Her goal for actual Girl Scouts was 100 - her "over-the-top" goal was 2,000 for a laptop. She managed to sell 233 boxes. Not too bad! So after all that, I just picked up the first order of cookies. I have 143 boxes hanging out in my dining room to separate & deliver... busy, busy, busy.

Then there is the never-ending story of laundry. Just when you think you're caught up, there comes some more. I thought I was caught up a couple of days ago and now (all of a sudden) I have four loads I'm sure. We just got a new bed set so I had to wash a load of sheets today... can't wait to sleep in them!

Anyway, maybe I'll blog some more tomorrow... there are so many things I have to do running through my mind!

I haven't blogged in a few days. I've been busy. Believe it or not, I'm still trying to figure out how to manage the house, my fiance, and children with a newborn... I'm getting there - slowly but surely.

On Friday, we had to take my 14 year old son to Sacramento to see a Pediatric Neurologist. Everything seems fine so far. The Doc does want to do a 24 hour EEG on his brain. That means we would have to drive to Sacramento one day to pick it up and then drive back the next day to drop it off. I think we are just going to plan a day next month and maybe stay in a hotel there... and find something to do.

On Friday, after the appointment, we ate at Jimboy's. That is my fiance's favorite! It is pretty yummy; however, I didn't grow up somewhere where there was a Jimboy's - he did. So he is a little more addicted than I am. After eating, we headed to Old Sacramento and walked around. This was a frugal trip. I was proud. I only spent 78 cents! LoL. I spent that on a few pieces of saltwater taffy. We gave my son five bucks and of course he spent it on candy, mostly jawbreakers.

My son't appointment was at 9:30 in the morning. To get there on time we had to wake up at 6:00 am!! Since the baby was born, waking up that early is insane! It's hard to go to sleep early and then I have to get up in the middle of the night to feed the little guy. I love him dearly I just forgot how tiring an itty bitty baby is. I wouldn't trade him for the world and I would do it again. We will... eventually.

In my head, I have so many ideas for this blog... I'm just not sure where to begin. I see everyone else's layouts and I love them. I wonder if the "behind the scenes" is as simply put as what we see? I feel like I could do so much more with my blog... I just need direction I suppose.

Anyway, baby D is going to wake up any second now... so I'm going to cut this short before it becomes an unfinished thing on my mind.

My daughter loves art. I love giveaways... put the two together and it's perfection. Pink & Posh is giving away a "Creativity Grows with The Young Artist Texture Painting Set." It sounds like an awesome kit that would be loved by many little aspiring artists out there.

After learning of this giveaway, I visited the "Creativity for Kids" website and they have a lot of awesome products for our little ones to have fun and get creative with. I definitely think you should check them both out!

I've never watched The Amazing Race before. After seeing a preview for the show, I decided to watch it because Jeff & Jordan from Big Brother 11. Keep in mind, I have never watched Big Brother until their 11th season. I never really cared for the show (because I never gave it a chance). Once we watched it, we were addicted. We LOVED Jeff & Jordan and were are very excited they are on The Amazing Race

Do you watch either Big Brother or The Amazing Race? I've came across quite a few people who are only watching The Amazing Race because of Jeff and Jordan. The producers sure were smart when they put them on the cast!

It's hard to believe that I have abandoned my blog for four days! Life just grabs you and runs sometimes. Thursday I was busy shopping all day for my fiance's birthday surprise. Friday was fabulous! I got to escape from the house and redeem a gift certificate my future mother-in-law got me for Christmas. It was for a 60 minute relaxation massage. This was my first professional massage and boy oh boy was it fantastic! I highly recommend mommy's getting one at least once a month.

Then Saturday came. Even though his birthday isn't until Wednesday, Saturday was the day I planned big daddy's birthday surprise and he doesn't even like surprised. I'm a big fan of them so he deals with it. My started off with getting my hair done. He's been wanting me to go dark underneath and get side bangs, so I did that. I even got some highlights on the top. After that was done, his sister and I went to Chico.

When we got there we had to eat a little something because we were starving! Then we went to a hotel that I had reserved for the night. It was nice - Oxford Suites. I prepared the room romantically - it even had a huge soaking tub! He was expecting me back home with his sister but I didn't come back! His sister came back to my house with a new shirt for him and a card and note from me, telling him where to go to pick me up.

He arrived at the hotel in his new Jordan's that arrived that day in the mail while I was gone (perfect timing Foot Locker)! Those along with the new shirt I bought him he was looking hot. I didn't allow him to see the room just yet. We then went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner. It was delicious... too bad I got my leftovers in a box and then forgot it!

We arrived at the hotel and he was excited. He got to open his last present - a video game that he has been wanting. Then we went to an evening reception that the hotel has every night. We drank a couple of beers and then went back up to the room and enjoyed our soaking tub! It was the first time he had ever taken a bath! We loved it & the rest is a secret...

Although we enjoyed ourselves, we were so happy to get up, eat breakfast, and come home to our little baby. Our big son was staying at a friends, our daughter was at grandma's, and our baby D was here at home with his auntie. This was the first time we had ever been without him for that long and overnight! We were anxious to come back to him. It was nice to hold him in my arms.

Life is amazing. Sometimes we all just need to take a little time out for ourselves to relax and rejuvenate. It really makes the world a better place to have mommy and daddy time. That is my recommendation for the day. If you are looking to do the same, February is a great month to do that. Hotels everywhere are having Romance Packages through the month.

We received a jacuzzi suite with a $45 Outback Steakhouse gift certificate, a coupon for spa services that doesn't expire until the end of the year, champagne, truffles, Hershey Kisses, an evening reception, breakfast buffet, and even bath salts, soaps, and lotion from Bath & Body Works - all of this for only $198 and that's after tax. I even paid an extra $20 for the soaking tub room... either way it was a great deal and I noticed they are everywhere this month.

So tired. Today was probably the most productive day I've had in a year (as far as the house goes). I was spoiled when I was pregnant and rarely had to clean. Bobby usually did it with my help here and there. Then since baby D was born, I've been just tired and trying to figure out a routine.

Until today. Today I cleaned. I cleaned like I've never cleaned before. Okay, well I have before... just not in a long time. It was exhausting. It feels so good to be in such a squeaky clean house! I had to go buy a new mop and then it broke the first time I used it... go figure.

On a brighter note, I got to see a urologist for the first time ever! It's funny how exciting that is to me. Maybe we will finally get to the bottom of why kidney stones love me so much. I'm fairly young to have had them about ten times! I'm so over them. Hopefully we can stop them from forming - that would be great!

I'm really excited for this weekend. Bobby and I are going out together for the first time since baby D was born. It's very much needed. I can't post too many of the details here because it is a surprise - we're technically going to be celebrating Bobby's birthday (it's on the 10th). We're going to have fun... I'll fill you in Sunday.

Well I'm off to bed before baby D wakes up and wants to be fed. I need some sleep before them. Today has me exhausted! Nighty night!
